Machine Learning Session with Sara Hooker
Machine Learning Session with Serah Hooker.
Sara is a Deep learning researcher at Google | Data for Good at Delta Analytics.
She works at Google Brain researching machine learning interpretability, model compression and security.
Before Brain, she founded a local Bay Area non-profit called Delta Analytics that works with non-profits and communities all over the world to build technical capacity and empower others to use data. All their initiatives are run without any full-time staff and instead depend upon a community of 100+ data volunteers.
She grew up in Southern Africa, in South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho and Kenya but her family now lives in Monrovia, Liberia.
The amazing thing about her professionality is that she taught herself machine learning and hope to help others do the same.
Her humble self was at DSN(Data Science Nigeria) today to have a machine learning session with the pre-university students and they were really motivated. I’m pretty sure that they were all excited and I myself was really happy to see such a great person in Data Science.
Seeing great contributors to Data science like herself and others is enough for you to get motivated if you wish to be great in this field.
Engage your ward at their tender age and watch them grow to do wonders.
